Terms & Conditions

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland.

Appointments

1. Booking and Payments

By confirming your appointment, you agree to pay the full service fee as outlined in your “Appointment Details.” Payment is required in full to secure your selected date and time.

Fees include travel up to 60 kilometres. Locations beyond this radius may incur an additional mileage fee. We endeavour to be on time, but as travel is involved, we are not liable for delays caused by traffic or unforeseen circumstances.

2. Cancellation and Refund Policy

We understand that plans can change. However, as our services require specific scheduling and travel preparations, the following refund schedule applies to all cancellations:

  • 5 Days or More Notice: You are eligible for a 100% refund of the appointment fee.
  • 2 to 5 Days Notice: You are eligible for a 50% refund of the appointment fee.
  • Less than 48 Hours Notice: No refund will be issued for cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice.

3. Rescheduling

If you notify us at least 48 hours before your appointment, we may—at our sole discretion and subject to availability—offer an alternative date to move your booking without forfeiting your fee.

4. Service Requirements

For in-person “Yard Visits,” please ensure that:

  • Any specific yard access instructions are provided via the “Yard Address to Attend” field during checkout.
  • The environment is safe for both the practitioner and the animal.
  • The handler is present at the scheduled time.
  • The client is responsible for ensuring the horse is reasonably handled and safe to work with. If an appointment must be abandoned due to the animal’s dangerous behaviour or lack of basic handling, the fee remains non-refundable.
  • Horses should be caught, groomed, and ready for the appointment at the scheduled time. If the practitioner is kept waiting for more than 15 minutes, the time may be deducted from the consultation, or a ‘Waiting Fee’ may apply.

To exercise your right to cancel, you must inform us in writing (via email or post) within the 14-day period. Returned items must be dispatched back to us within 14 days of your cancellation notification. Unless otherwise stated, the customer is responsible for return postage costs.

6. Returns, Exchanges & Exclusions

Due to the specialised nature of equestrian equipment, hygiene considerations, and custom fitting services, specific return rules apply to horse bits and bridles:

A. Horse Bits (Hygiene Exclusions)

  • Unfitted / DIY Bits: Bits purchased online that have not been fitted directly by our authorised fitting specialists are strictly NON-RETURNABLE and non-refundable. This is for strict health and bio-security/hygiene reasons, as bits come into direct contact with horse saliva and mucous membrane tissue once inserted or handled.
  • Fitted Bits: Bits supplied, inspected, and fitted during an official, professional fitting session arranged by Equine Partnership may be subject to our professional fitting trial or exchange agreement as explicitly detailed in your fitting contract.

B. Bridles & Leatherwork (Custom Fitting & Wear)

  • Unfitted / DIY Bridles (Signs of Wear): Bridles purchased directly without our fitting service may be returned for a refund within the 14-day cancellation window only if they are in brand-new, unused condition.
    • Any bridle or leather item showing marks, impressions, hole adjustment stretch, grease, or any signs of wear is strictly NON-RETURNABLE.
  • Fitted Bridles: If a bridle has been custom-fitted to your horse by Equine Partnership and subsequently shows minor handling or leather marking, it is EXCHANGE-ONLY (no cash or card refunds) to allow for sizing adjustments, provided the issue is reported within 14 days of the fitting.

C. Custom & Made-to-Order Items

  • Any bespoke, modified, personalised, or custom-made items (including custom-built bits or customised leatherwork) are strictly non-refundable under Section 111 of the Consumer Rights Act 2022 once production has commenced, unless the product is faulty.

7. Damaged or Faulty Goods

  • Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights regarding faulty, damaged, or misdescribed goods.
  • Under Irish Consumer Law, if an item is defective upon arrival, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or full refund depending on the circumstances. You must notify us immediately upon noticing a defect.

8. Liability

  • We are not liable for any injury, damage, or loss resulting from the improper use, altered fitting, or misuse of any equestrian products purchased from us.
